Whistling Woods International
WHISTLING WOODS INTERNATIONAL (WWI), was launched in the year 2006 with an objective of creating world-class Film, Media & Design Professionals. Mr. Subhash Ghai is the Chairman of the Institute, Mr. Anand Mahindra is the Chairman of the Governing Council and Mr. Shyam Benegal is the Chairman of the Academic Council, of the Institute. The Dean of the Institute is the former MD of National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), Mr.Ravi Gupta.
WWI is located inside Mumbai’s film & television production hub ‘Filmcity’ in Goregaon East in a sprawling 5.5 Acre state-of-the-art Campus. WWI today offers 9 UG degree programs and 7 Diploma Programs spread across the fields of Media Studies, Fashion, Animation, Design & Filmmaking. All degrees and diplomas are awarded by ‘Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) – Deemed University’, recognized by UGC and MHRD, Govt. of India.

Above seats are inclusive of Reserved Seats as per Govt. of India Policy: 15%, 7.5% and 27% reservation to SC, ST and OBC (non-creamy layer) respectively, for each of the programs
6. Examination Pattern
Component 1: General Aptitude Test (60 mins) – Weightage: 30%.
80 MCQs on four topics: General Awareness (20), English Ability (20), Media Awareness (20) & Logical Ability (20). This will be a Computer Based Test (CBT), to be taken at an Exam Centre allocated by WWI.
Component 2: Creative Ability Test (60 mins) – Weightage: 20%
This is a subjective test, which the applicant has to take at the Exam Centre allocated by WWI. The Question Set will be as per the Program applied for.
Component 3: Statement Of Purpose (60 mins) – Weightage: 20%
This is a subjective test, where the applicant needs to write an essay as to why he/she wishes to make a career in the chosen field – guidelines on how to write will be given. This Test is to be taken by the applicant at the WWI Campus on the day of the Interview.
Component 4: Personal Interview – Weightage: 30%
Personal Interview to be taken by each applicant before a panel of Faculty of the Program applied for. This will be held at the WWI Campus.
