The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) is an online exam conducted by IIT Bombay for admissions to Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes offered by IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur. It is scheduled to be held on January 20, 2018. The official result of UCEED 2018 will be declared on February 18 2018. Candidates who have qualified 12 th standard (or equivalent) or will be qualifying in 2018 in any stream (Science, Commerce or Humanities) will be termed eligible to apply for UCEED 2018. All UCEED admissions are merit based as per candidate’s performance in the UCEED examination.
All candidates, Indian and of Foreign nationality, will be eligible for admission if they meet the required criteria. UCEED 2018 examination will consist of numerical and multiple choice questions.
UCEED is designed to explore candidates reasoning and analytical skills, visualisation and spatial ability, observation and design sensitivity, general knowledge and current affairs, Language and creativity, design thinking and problem solving skills. Candidates looking at clearing the exam should practice on these areas extensively. Being one of them most sought after exams, competition in UCEED is stiff. However, with focused practice and planning students would be able to crack UCEED easily.
In 2018 more than five colleges would be accepting the scores of the design entrance exam to offer admission to aspirants.
