UCEED 2020 Application Form:

First of all, go to the official website or can apply and apply via online mode using portal such as www.iitb.ac.in/uceed/  There will be online application availability after the release of the notice of the UCEED 2020. If you try to apply after the last date of registration then it may lead to cancellation. After the form is submitted you cannot make any corrections. The fee once submitted won’t be refunded. Make sure for following the instructions carefully.

Application Form 2020 Fee:

  • Male candidates those who belong to OBC category or General category need to make payment of Rs 2000/-
  • Female candidates who belong to those who belong to OBC category or General category need to make payment of Rs1000/-
  • Third gender candidates those who belong to OBC category or General category need to make payment of Rs 2000/-
  • Male candidates those who belong to SC and ST category need to make pay Rs.1000/-
  • Female candidates belonging to ST as well as SC category need to pay – Rs. 1000/-
  • Third gender candidates belonging to OBC or General category need to pay – Rs. 1000/-

Eligibility Criteria:

In this section we provide the UCEED 2020 Eligibility Criteria. Candidates must have required following criteria for the apply the UCEED.

Age Limit: Those who are born on or after 1st Oct 1997 can apply for the examination. These age criteria go for GEN/OBC-NCL Category candidates. However, those who are born on or after Oct 01st, 1994 can also apply but this goes with candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category.

Qualifying Examination: Only those who have completed their class 12th or equivalent in 2019 and 2020 can apply for the examination. On the contrary, those who have appeared for the first time in the qualifying exam in the year 2018 or prior to it cannot apply for the exam

Nationality: Indian and Foreign National both candidates can apply for the UCEED Admission 2020. 10% seats are reserved for the foreign candidates.

It is only two consecutive times that any candidate can apply for IIT UCEED. It is also crucial to know that scores are applicable for only one year and also for admission to the corresponding academic year

Exam Pattern:

  • The exam for UCEED 2020 will take place for 3 complete hours
  • English will be the medium of the paper
  • It will be the computer-based examination
  • Paper will be of 300 marks
  • The questions will appear from 6 different topics.
  • The question paper is divided into three different sections.
  • There is be provision for negative marking
  1. Section A:   Numerical Answer Type Questions (NATQ)
  2. B Section:   Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)
  3. Section C:   Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

Test Centers:

IIT UCEED 2020 will take place in 19 different cities on India such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, and Thiruvananthapuram

UCEED Syllabus:

  • Visualisation and Spatial Ability: This section consisted of diagrammatic and Pictorial questions, knowledge of practical and everyday mechanical and scientific concepts, understanding of transformation and/or manipulation of 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships, knowledge of practical and everyday mechanical and scientific concepts.
  • Analytical and Logical Reasoning: Ability to weigh opinions, arguments or solutions against appropriate criteria. Ability to look at information, be it qualitative or quantitative in nature, and discern patterns within the information. Use logic and structured thinking to deduce from a short passage, which of a number of statements is the most accurate response to a posed question. Ability to check for hidden bias or hidden assumptions and whether evidence and argument support conclusions. Data Interpretation, brainteasers, and patterns.
  • Language and Creativity: Reading comprehension, knowledge of English grammar like the use of tenses, sentence structure and usage, articles, verb patterns, and active and passive constructions etc.Ability to understand and use Standard English., and vocabulary skills. Ability to think creatively in terms of alternatives, the ability to distinguish innovative options and think out of the box.
  • Environmental and Social Awareness: General awareness of environmental factors like climate, vegetation, pollution, population, water, weather, natural resources etc., as well as implications on the design of the images, infrastructure, products, and environment. Awareness of social and cultural connection with the design, history of the designed artifact, and socially responsible and environmentally sustainable design responses. History of art, sculpture and literature
  • Design Thinking and Problem Solving: Ability to use visual analogies, metaphors, signs and symbols. Ability to understand complexity, identify the problem, generate alternatives, evaluate options and select solutions.

The admit card for UCEED 2020 comprises of details such as name, address, exam date and time, exam centre and lots more. Ensure for carrying the admit card while moving to the examination centre on the exam date.
