NID 2023 Eligibility Criteria

You will not be eligible to apply for the exam if you do not meet the NID eligibility criteria. 

Age Criteria:

• According to the official notification, candidates applying for the NID entrance examination must have been born on or after 01 July 2002 for those in general and EWS categories and on or after 01 July 1999 for those in the SC/ST/OBC-NCL categories.
• To be eligible for PwD admission, you must have been born on or after 01 July 1997.

Qualification Criteria:

• For the exam, you must have passed your final 10+2 examination from a recognized board (AISSE/ICSE/CBSE).
• The NID DAT exam is also open to those appearing for the higher secondary examination in 2023.

If you plan to take the NID Studio Test 2023, start preparing now! The test is used to assess a candidate’s creativity, imagination and originality and is an important part of the National Institute of Design admissions process. A few proven tips to help you get started are given below:

• As you start researching and thinking about possible questions, remember there’s no right or wrong answer. The key is coming up with an original solution, so avoid copying other people’s work.
• Also, remember that some questions will be more difficult than others. Don’t let that discourage you! The key is to focus on your strengths and show off your knowledge to impress admissions officers.
• Become well-versed with the NID Studio Test pattern and ensure you understand the different questions asked in the exam. Spend some time reviewing all the important information about the exam.
• Plan in-depth, accounting for the number of days before the exam and the topics you must cover. Try to divide the allotted time equally among topics and ensure you don’t skip any.
• Make models from as many materials as possible. Include some of the basics in your preparation, such as wire, cloth, thermocol, rubber sheet, paper, clay, wool, threads, pins, plastic, plaster of Paris, hardboard, foils, etc.
• Make sure you maintain neatness as you work with all materials and make models or doodles. Examiners will mark you on your work approach and neatness.
• Use the previous year’s question papers for NID Studio Test and practice through mock tests.

How to Apply for NID 2023?

The process of NID Admission involves four stages, i.e., online registration, form filling, uploading documents, and paying the application fee.

• Visit www.nid.edu – the official NID website, for registration.
• Now, click on the “New Registration” tab.
• Enter your mobile number, email ID, Date of birth, and other asked details. 
• After that, login credentials of your NID admission will be sent via email to the registered email ID & mobile number.
• Use the login details and try sign in. Fill out the application form by entering all the needed details correctly. 
• Now, upload the necessary documents for your NID studio test and pay the application fee.
