B) NID M.Design

BRDS is conducting NID DAT Mains ( M.Design ) Studio test classes. NID DAT Mains Test for M.Design Students is divided into three parts: Studio Test, Interview and Portfolio review at NID Campuses.

The studio test is conducted separately for different disciplines at the NID Campuses where the program is offered. It comprises of various activities such as Hands-on model making (3 D model making), Drawing / Sketching, Audio-visual perception test, etc. The classes at BRDS are M.Design discipline specific.

1. Result on website: Every city has NID, NIFT coaching classes but before joining any design coaching institute you should check results of the institute as it’s a question of your career. Selected candidates from DAT Prelims are called for the second phase examination ie. Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Mains. NID DAT Mains (Studio Test) is conducted to judge your creative skills. Your orientation towards design and presence of mind with the help of a series of tests.

The B.Design students have to appear for Studio test which includes Doodling, Hands-on model making (3 D model making), Drawing / Sketching, Audio-visual perception test etc

NID DAT Mains Test for M.Design Students is divided into 4 parts: Online Submission of Statement of Purpose (SoP) with Digital Portfolio –Sample of Works, Online Interview and Studio test at NID Campuses. The studio test is conducted separately for different disciplines at the NID Campuses where the program is offered. It comprises of various activities such as Hands-on model making (3 D model making), Drawing / Sketching, Audio-visual perception test, etc.

DAT Mains plays a major role in selection. For B.Design students weightage of 1st Written exam (DAT Prelims) is only 40 % and 2nd Phase exam (DAT Mains – Studio test) is 60% for final result. For M.Design students weightage of DAT Prelims is 30% and DAT Mains (Studio Test, Interview and Portfolio review) is 70%.
