Course Content:
NATA – National Aptitute Test in Architecture
Understanding of scale and proportion of objects, geometric composition, shape, building forms and elements, aesthetics, color texture, harmony and contrast. Conceptualization and Visualization through structuring objects in memory. Drawing of patterns – both geometrical and abstract. Form transformations in 2D and 3D like union, subtraction, rotation, surfaces and volumes. Generating plan, elevation and 3D views of objects. Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shape and forms. Perspective drawing, Sketching of urban scape and landscape, Common day-to-day life objects like furniture, equipment etc., from memory.
2. General Aptitude
Objects, texture related to architecture and built environment. Interpretation of pictorial compositions, Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawing. Visualizing different sides of 3D objects. Analytical reasoning, mental ability (visual, numerical and verbal), General awareness of national/ international architects and famous architectural creations.
Mathematical reasoning: Statements, logical operations like and, or, if and only if, implies, implied by. Understanding of tautology, converse, contradiction and contrapositive.
Sets and Relations: Idea of sets, subsets, power set, complement, union, intersection and difference of sets, Venn diagram, De Morgan’s Laws, Relation and its properties. Equivalence relation — definition and elementary examples.

Algebra, Logarithms, Matrices, Trigonometry, Coordinate geometry, 3-Dimensional Co-ordinate geometry, Theory of Calculus, Application of Calculus, Permutation and combination, Statistics and Probability
4. Physics and Chemistry
Physics:Electrostatics- Electric charges and Fields; Electrostatic Potential and Clearance Current Electricity; Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism; Moving Charges and magnetism; Magnetism and Matter Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating currents- Electromagnetic Induction; Alternating Current Optics- Ray optics and optical instruments, Wave Optics Dual nature of radiation and Matter Atoms and Nuclei- Atoms, Nuclei.
Electronic devices- Semiconductor Electronics, Materials, Devices and Simple circuits

JEE (B.Arch)
Part-1: Drawing Test
Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements, colour texture, harmony and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil.
Transformation of forms both 2D and 3D union, substraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3D views of objects. Creating two-dimensional and three dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms. Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces etc.), landscape (river fronts, jungles, gardens, trees, plants etc.) and rural life.
Part-2: Aptitude Test
Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials. Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build environment. Visualising three dimensional objects from two dimensional drawings. Visualising. different sides of three dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal)
Part-3: Mathematics

1. Construction Awareness:
This section checks general knowledge pertaining to construction/Infrastructure works. It checks general aptitude and interest of candidate towards construction technology course.
2. Verbal:
This section checks English communication skill in terms of mainly grammar and reading skills.
3. Drawing Skills:
This section checks basic drawing skills such as visual perception, proportioning, detailing, imagination, innovation, cleanliness etc.
4. Analytical Ability:
This section refers to application of knowledge of Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Level of questions will be limited to XII standard.
