With 16 centres across the country, NIFT is amongst the most premier fashion institute in India. It is the first choice for all students aspiring to be fashion designers. NIFT offers 2010 seats for B.Design and 360 seats for B.F.Tech programme across 16 NIFT Campuses spread across the country.
The NIFT 2017 application procedure started on 2 November 2016 upto 10 January 2017. Students who missed registrations, were allowed to apply until 16 January 2017 with a late fee of Rs.5000.
The NIFT 2017 admission test was held on 12 February 2017. As per the official notification on the institute’s website www.nift.ac.in; the NIFT Result 2017 was to be announced at the end of May/June 2017.
Students who qualify in the NIFT Result 2017 would be called for Situation Test, which are final tests before selection to undergraduate B.Des courses.
The weightage of GAT for selection in Bachelor in Fashion Technology is 100% . For Bachelor of Design, weightage of GAT score is 30%, CAT score is 50% and situation test is 20%.
NIFT declares cutoffs for section and campus wise closing rank based on number of total test takers, difficulty level of exam etc.
